Hi, I'm Carys

Hi, I'm Carys, and Carys Madeleine Art is the home of all my creative endeavours. I'm based in Belfast and have lived here all my life. I'm currently a university student at Queen's University Belfast, where I study Anthropology & Archaeology. My love of art began at a young age, where I enjoyed playing with all mediums, shapes, and colours. It's this childlike wonder that I try to recreate in all that I make today. My favourite subjects to paint include natural forms, still life compositions, childhood memories, and places you may recognise from around Belfast as I love to paint from life. I mainly work in oil paints and acrylics, but I love to experiment with everything from fabric, to children's paint sticks. 

I run a range of creative workshops which implement painting and collage tecnqiues, whether it be a 'collage & cocktails' night, or a more relaxed 'collage and coffee' morning, I have something for everyone. In my workshops I focus on letting go on perfectionism and creating for the sake of creating, without expectations or self doubt.
